Audio Experience : Mecha Jungle

This sound project invites the audience into a fully immersive experience where a giant mecha advances through the heart of a dense jungle. The goal was to create a sound-based mini-story, placing the listener directly in the cockpit of an imposing robot as it navigates unknown terrain.

The scene begins with the heavy, metallic sounds of the robot’s footsteps, pressing down on dry, earthy ground. With each step, the ground vibrates, and the sounds blend with the natural noises of the jungle: rustling leaves, animal calls, and branches cracking under mechanical pressure. The soundscape is dense, evoking the thick atmosphere of a tropical forest.

The robot then reaches a point where the jungle opens onto a swamp. It steps into water that gradually rises around its metal legs, transforming the sounds into a muffled symphony. The metallic noises mix with splashes, and the environment’s sounds become distant, wrapped in an aquatic reverb. The mecha continues its journey underwater, surrounded by a soft soundscape where bubbles and fluid movements replace the heavy surface sounds.

This sound-based mini-story is designed to immerse the listener in this journey, transforming each step of the mecha's march into a sensory experience across varied environments.
